Mary was the kindest soul who loved everyone very deeply. She was raised in the St. Louis & St. Charles areas of Missouri when she met a handsome man who had recently been honorably discharged from the Navy and had served in Vietnam. They met in Oct 1972, it was love at first sight and they were married May 1973. After Ronnie was transferred to Texas with his job in 1984 and having no family in the state of Texas other than Kelley and Ronnie, Mary adopted her dear friends as her extended family. She is also survived by Pete, Bette, Michael, Leslie, Coda, Maren & Kenneally McCardel, Don and Colleen Thompson, Alyce and Fred Bard, Linda Farley, and Norman Dreling. Those of us who had the privilege and opportunity to know Mary, loved Mary. She was who you wanted to call to get advice, pop open a bottle of wine with and just chat, and to take with you when you bought a car. She was a tough lady. She was fiercely compassionate. She was so funny. She is and always will be so much more than the words on this page. She is my mother, my friend, my confidant, my shoulder, my hug and my kiss…my everything.
