Janell Minter Faggett, 78, of Carrollton, Texas, earned her wings on August 1, 2022.

She was born in Dallas, Texas on September 24, 1943, to Horace Minter and Ethel Green Minter.  She attended Lakeview Public School in Big Spring, TX.  She was a Methodist and belonged to Baker’s Chapel AME until moving to Carrollton, TX where she is a member of Impact Church DFW a non-domination church.  She married Roosevelt Faggett on September 25, 1998.

Janell worked at Westside Daycare Center, Furr’s Cafeteria, and Rip Griffin as a cook for years while living in Big Spring.  Janell loved to cook and would often cook for her family.  Her life was her family.  She loved all types of music, but her favorite was Rance (Ranch) Allen.  She would call Rance, Ranch instead of Rance.  She was a fashionista and loved to shop. She would not leave the house unless she was totally put together.

She was preceded in death by her parents Horace and Ethel Minter, and her husband Roosevelt Faggett who spoiled her, 4 brothers, 1 sister, 1 daughter-in-law, 2 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.

She is survived by 4 children, Letra Foster of Colorado Springs, CO, Vickie Minter-Walker (Ronning) of Fort Worth, TX, Denice Reed of Carrollton, TX, and Alax Dwight Minter of Big Spring, TX.  1 sister Ethel Williams (Edrick Sr.) Rialto, CA, 1 brother Walter (Vickie) of Chula Vista, CA, 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
