Jane Cain Obituary

On Sunday, 29 August 2021, Jane Eleanor Cain passed away at the age of 72.

Jane was born on January 12, 1949 in Waltham, Massachusetts and was the second child born to Wallace and Delores Cobb.

She married Daniel Cain on February 1, 1975 in Hawaii and they had five children:  Christina, Daniel (DJ), Eric, Emma, and Stacey.  They eventually moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana in 1976 and raised their family.  Here is where she found her passion for taking care of others and started her career in nursing.  In 1985, she graduated with bachelor’s degree in registered nursing.  They lived in Louisiana until the summer of 1991 where they moved to El Paso, Texas and she continued in the nursing profession for 26 years.  In 2006, they eventually moved to Dallas, Texas and called it home.

Jane is survived by her husband, Daniel.  Her son Wayne and daughter-in-law Beverly of El Paso, Texas; daughter Theresa of Virginia; daughter Christina of Dallas, Texas; son Daniel (DJ) and daughter-in-law Carrie (US Air Force); son Eric and daughter-in-law Isabel of Irving, Texas; daughter Emma of Allenhurst, Georgia; daughter Stacey and son-in-law Anthony of Mesquite, Texas.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Wayne’s children Nichole and Travis; Theresa’s children Jamie and Joshua; Christina’s children Morgan and Jaquan Wade, and Jordan Pena; DJ’s children Daniel (Alijah, US Army), Isaiah, Jadyn, and Micah; Eric’s children Rafa, Janiah, Jeremiah, and Josiah; Emma’s child Noah; and Stacey’s children Sean and Samaya.  She is also survived by four great grandchildren.

Jane was a loving and wonderful mother to all of her children, grandchildren, and close friends of the family.  She enjoyed daydreaming about Las Vegas, reading, and spending time with her family.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Delores Cobb.

The family would like to thank the Sovereign Hospice and Palliative Care for their wonderful and dedicated care of our mother.
