Bessie Bush Obituary

On Thursday, March 24, 2022 Bessie, received her heavenly wings at the age of 76 years old.

Bessie Bush, was married to Clarence Bush Sr. (Who preceded her in death) and she was the mother of seven children, Barbara Bush (Who preceded her in death), Clarence Bush Jr. (Spouse: Angela Bush), Rhonda Hogan (Spouse: Roy Hogan), Casey Bush (Spouse: Gayle Bush), Moblin Bush (Who preceded her in death), Ken Bush and Shameka Bonner. Her parents were Professor Alton Thomas and Queen Esther Willis of Louisiana (Both preceded her in death). Bessie had 13 siblings (8 preceded her in death) and she leaves behind three sisters, Leola Norman, Helen Walker and Earnestine Crawford. As well as two brothers, Tom Williams and Jerry Thomas. Bessie also leaves behind 19 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grand child and countless nieces, nephews, friends and other loved ones.

Bessie was a phenomenal woman who was in love with Jesus! She was a powerful prayer warrior, who was gifted to pray anybody through anything! She prayed without ceasing and God honored her prayers!

What made Bessie so unique and loved by so many was her soft, soothing voice that brought comfort to broken hearts, her love for God that was evident in everything she did and her love for ALL people (Deserving or not).

Bessie especially loved her family, husband and children and made many sacrifices throughout the years to care for and ensure they all knew they were incredibly loved.

Although Bessie endured many heartaches and disappointments in her life, she took it all in stride with a strength that only God could give! She never allowed ANYTHING to separate her from God or to deter her from being kindhearted, caring and loving to all, even through her own pain.

Bessie always had a word of encouragement and strength to give when needed, a prayer of peace and breakthrough to offer and a word from the scriptures to speak at  all times! She gave of herself tirelessly and selflessly to help others in need.

God created Bessie to be a blessing to all who’d have the pleasure of  knowing her! Everyone who knew her, loved her and appreciated the amazing woman she was! Especially those of us who had the honor and privilege to call her mama!

Some knew Bessie from her powerful prayers, while others her anointed singing and some from her incredible home cooked meals, but however you knew Bessie, you LOVED Bessie!

Bessie was indeed a beautiful soul and I’m sure she’s up in heaven having a ball! She’s somewhere singing, praying, worshipping and/ or dancing before The Lord!

It gives us great joy and peace to know that Bessie knows no more pain, sorrow or suffering of any kind! She’s gone home to live with God! AMEN!
